Junior Bookkeeper – Centurion

The Junior Bookkeeper with Administrative Duties will assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, is essential. You will also support our staff with administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of the office. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other financial reports.
  • Organize and maintain financial records for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested, including handling
    correspondence, filing, and scheduling.
  • Manage office supplies stock and place orders when necessary.
  • Assist in answering phone calls, distributing mail, and providing general support to visitors.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Stock control: 
    • Maintain stock control sheets on a weekly & monthly basis
    • Assist with stock counts process
    • Assist with internal stock receiving & issuing process
    • Ensure that stock room is kept neat and tidy at all times.
  • General Finance Admin:

• Assist with general finance admin duties, including paperwork, printing and related tasks.

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, administrative assistant, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and Xero accounting
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers.
  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
  • Data entry and word processing skills.
  • Well-organized, ability to prioritize work.
  • High school diploma; associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
